Brothers

Just like little boys - they get a little bored and have to start wrestling. Something I didn't know before these guys were born - most orange tabby cats are male...not sure why that is.

Newbie

Her first week of training. Two year old Arabian, she got to have a saddle on for the first time, some longe line work and ground driving. She was amazing, better than I expected her to behave.

Odyssey

This was CeeCee's companion for about 6 months. Sadly, he developed Colic in September, 2009 and passed away at that time. He was in his late 20's and was the best training horse...all of the kids loved him, though because he had a huge sway back he was definitely the most bumpy ride for them...man, I miss the oddman.

Cellphone shots

Arm ink - the heart is for my dad who died of heart disease when I was 13. The "hope" with breast cancer ribbon is for my mom who died from her second battle with breast cancer when I was 33...just 10 months after CeeCee was born. This pic was taken with my cell phone camera which is sometimes a good camera but most times is a piece of sh#%.

Country Jam 2011

CeeCee and I were able to go in the Sky Box for Blake Shelton concert at Country Jam in Eau Claire, WI. While I thoroughly enjoyed the show...she would have rather it been Taylor Swift...ha, ha..I'm the mom, I get the tickets. Overall, great day, thank God the humidity was lower than the previous days. I will go out on a limb here and say, if I go again, CeeCee will not go with me. Will have to try to go to WE Fest sometime in the future, then she can stay at my brother's house while I go for some fun...

Horseshoe Bend

Horseshoe bend in Page, AZ...what a sight to see. No guide rails around the edge, just get up to the edge and lay over to get the full view. We had some nice California Condors soaring above us on this day as well.

Sticking with Arizona

I love this picture. I had been the only one to have been to the Grand Canyon before. We drove up from Sedona through Oak Creek Canyon into Flagstaff in a snow storm, when we finally reached the Grand Canyon, the storm was still going through it and the clouds had blocked the whole view at our first stop. My family is all looking over the edge and can't see anything. We stayed for about 5 minutes, and then it started to clear.
This was the view after it cleared.

Mama

Mama was a bucking bronco however, you could tell there was somewhere else she wanted to be and it was even more obvious when her filly joined her for a trot around the ring. It was one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

Twins game

CeeCee sang the National Anthem with her choir last night at the Twins game...that was about the highlight of the game. It was cold, it was raining, I had on cute new sandals that I didn't want to ruin so ended up barefoot. We left in the beginning of the 7th inning. I was wearing my trusty Tennessee poncho and got some attitude toward it from some random guy...Twins were losing 9-2 when we left.

Riding

So, it has been awhile since I had been updating this blog...got a little sidetracked and hopefully, am now back on track.
C is still riding at least weekly. This is her and her primary horse now. They have been together for about a year now, he's good because he makes her work for it. They are now in one of the harder lesson classes that end the week as a good challenge for both horse and rider, it's quite a sight to see when her and her friend get up to gallopping in races. I always try to picture myself doing it and it scares the crap out of me. We went for a trail ride in the Smoky Mountains and my horse maybe got up to a trot and I was scared.
