Blimp

Taken from my driveway maybe half mile away with D80 and 70-300mm zoom @ 300mm. Thought this turned out pretty good - especially since no cars were driving by on the main road (sidewalk can be seen @ bottom of the shot). From my driveway - we are 3 houses down my street, then there is the main street, sidewalks on both sides, the grassy area, a parking lot, more grassy area, the fence around the airport and then the field leading up to the landing place for the blimp.
The blimp is here for the USGA Women's Open this week.

Sunset last night

While driving out by my brother's house. I was actually the passenger this time and not the driver...

Incoming

Great Blue Heron coming in for a landing in Minneapolis. Just loved the contrast of the bird against the building.

Smiles

I believe this is one of her fake smiles. And she still has dirt on her face from playing an orphan in the play.

More Rain

My newest Peony plant today in between the rain - I believe this one was supposed to have more pink in it but - as long as it flowered this year - I'm ok with it. This was the best shot I could get today after the rain. I did take a bunch before the rain though that turned out quite nice.

Gross

My nephews third surgery. He has to wear these bandages on the eye for 3 weeks. Yuck.

Mutant Daisy

This one had two buds that formed one flower together. Really quite odd looking.

Mom's plants

Bridal Wreath Spirea - I'm not sure how long this shrub has been in front of our house - seems like forever. It was looking kind of bad the past few years but this year - beautiful. I believe this was one of mom's favorite flowers.

Storms

More Storms again yesterday afternoon. We had hail and rain, no tornadoes or big winds though. And a great sunset.
